well i was hoping to have a no spend day today but ive got to get Sandwich ham and bread :rolleyes:What about everyone else?

Me too James - I was hoping for a no-spend day but DS devoured all the bread during a midnight feast of some sort so I ended up having to spend £1.70 for lunch at work
I also had to buy a loaf of bread on the way home for tomorrows packed lunch and I bought a tin of beans to go with dinner
So much for a no-spender.....I think it cost me my last £3.00 - I now have about 12p in pennies in my purse until Friday so I'm guessing that the next four days will definitely be no-spenders !! :rotfl:
  • hiya ms_London wave2.gif glad to see you are having a great time, enjot it you worked for it but make sure you dont spend all your pennies and have to come back early.......

i have spent today £3.35 on a new book, my first new one - not second hand (ebay/amazon/bootsale/charity shop) for about three months :j so i think i deserved it and £15.50 at the dentist, i thought i would need treatment as i havent been in about 8 years so i budgeted £60 so i am £44.50 up on that :j not a bad day i think :D

  • Zilch! Nothing! Result! I usually leave my wallet at home to stop spending money on the way back from work. Today I took it, met Mum in the pub, got 2 free pints and a free meal. Legend! :)

Also managed to nick The Sun from the pub too - so saved 30p!!!
    £2 Coin Savings = £0.23:confused:

Was doing well, until I got a last minute text from a friend that I don't see too often, asking about a swift pint after work.....two rounds each later.... £12.70.

    Shame.
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

    70p!!

On 7 packs of 50 food bags from Wilkinsons. I am getting all the food ready for the month's packed lunches, so I only have to lift a bag out of a box, rather than having to start sorting things out in the evenings/mornings.

Everything will be bagged in portion sizes - 2 biscuits to a bag, 1 mini sausage roll, 4 cocktail sausages, etc. I'm hoping that everything being to hand (for 5 of us!) will cut down on the "oh I can't be bothered making the lunches, I'll just give everyone money for lunch today" scenario which is all too rife in this house!

My freezer has, without a word of a lie, 175 sandwiches/rolls all ready to go!!

Hi Hootie, just curious, do you not find when you thaw the sandwich that the bread's gone a bit strange and soggy? ... that's what I've always found!
