How stupid am i??

Hi Everyone,
Not sure where to start really so here goes!!
I used to have debts of approximately £10,000 with various CC's loans etc which i managed with the help of the wonderful CCCS. However myself and my partner re mortgaged earlier this year and i was able to pay off most of my oustanding debt :j I left myself with one car payment of £134.00 (HP) and my mobile phone (£60 per month approx, stuck with minimum £55 per month deal for 6 months  ) As well as the usual household bills, mortgage etc. For the first time in years i was able to manage my money and even have some left over at the end of the month
BUT rather stupidly i did not cancell my one remaining CC (although paid in full) and have since managed to spend £700 (the limit) again AND obtained another card through Vanquis (I Know I Know!!) wich is now up to its £500 limit. We are saving as much as we can on a monthly basis to pay for our wedding next year and i cannot believe how stupid i have been!
I know that £1200 is not a huge amount of debt but i thought i had leared my lesson before and clearly this is not the case. I am very dissapointed i have so little self control. My partner does not know i have any CC's at all and i dont want him to (i feel silly enough as it is!), we have seperate bank accounts etc. The other problem is that my credit rating is awful and i cannot obtain a loan to pay off the CC's without getting into the cycle of bad debt = ridiculous intrest rate and payments lasting forever. (I have tried)
I think i am just looking for a virtual kick up the bum. Does anyone else have this type of problem or is it really just me without control??
Sorry for the long post - feel free to bottom kick at will!

Kick!!! Does that help? Don't worry. It is a long road we travel and we fall off the pavement into the gutter from time to time. But you have realised before it got too out of hand. Just try to put some money aside for them and get them paid off as quickly as Poss. (Especially Vanquis. Would hate to know what interest rate you are paying on that on.) Just make sure that you are paying more than the minimum every month on Vanquis and the minimum on the other card until it is paid off.
But, as I said, it is good that you stopped before it got out of hand.
The other good thing is, that if you do pay off the CC's in good time, then your credit rating will improve.Debt at worst: £33000
Debt now: £0, (Ok, a £650 overdraft)
£3000 Credit card (aiming to get this down with 0% card)0 -
Hi! Don't worry, you are most definitely not alone! I have done a similar thing. My husband took out a £2000 loan to pay off my debts for me because I was convinced that if I had a clean slate I would be able to manage with just my housekeeping and not go into my overdraft. However, as you can see from my sig, I now have a secret £200 overdraft and I am so so so tempted to increase it to £250 today. My problem is I am addicted to food and I binge eat. I only have £5 until Friday so I don't have enough money to binge and I feel totally awful - it's taking every ounce of will not to increase my overdraft so I can go and buy food.
I haven't told my hubby either because I really want to pay it off myself and not disappoint him again.
I really know how you feel. It's horrible isn't it?!!!
