Supermarkets sell distilled water. It will either be in the cleaning section for use with irons. Or in the motoring section for use with car batteries.
I have also seen tea tree oil and lavender oil in the likes of wilkinsons.0 -
Garages sell it too. It will be next to the motor oil. I think its about £1 from my local garage. In fact, I need some myself so I may pop and get some this morning!0

De-Ionisation is also a method of water purification but it isnt the same as Distiling
Distilled Water is created by boiling water, condesing the steam and collecting the water from the condensed steam. you can do it yourself if you wanted to with a few pipes and stuff.
you will need somthing to boil the water in, some form of pipe to move the steam through, a cold water bath to put the pipe in and a bottle or somthing to store the distilled water in.
I you need large amounts of distilled water it could be worth investing in your own equipment if you dont it iw much easier to buy the stuff.
De-ionisation uses materials that attract certain ion's from the water and cuase them to bond to themself therefore removing them from the water0 -
for what purpose is the water?Baby Milk Action is a non-profit organisation which aims to save lives and to end the avoidable suffering caused by inappropriate infant feeding.0

I get gallons of distilled water out of my dehumidifier. When used in the steam iron, it stops it from clogging up. The iron pumps the water back into the atmosphere, from where the dehumidifier takes it back down again and I use it next time! How's that for recycling?0
