Blooming tax

Having taken early ill health retirement i now receive DLA,ESA and an occupational pension,i have just been told i owe £350 tax from last year and they are taking £59 month off my pension for this years tax,can we ever get away from the taxman.

    not if you have taxable income above the personal allowances.

    Is the taxman correct ?

    Maybe a little consolation is that you wont be paying tax on your DLA.

    and your not paying any more tax than any body else.

    You get a much bigger tax allowance when you get to 65. (65 at the moment anyway)
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.

    Hopefully get a bigger one earlier than that come June (or next March if it's announced but deferred)

    Occupational pensions are a dying breed so at least you have that.
