I hate to think where I would be now without the help & support of MSE.

Me too. It's a shame the people I know in 'real life' aren't quite so amazing! :(

MSE site is fantastic and has helped me and countless others

The people on the forums offer masses of advice and support, and of course comfort for those lost in their debt -and it is literally a lifeline for some - long may it continue

    DFW is BRILLIANT!!!!!

    :T:T:T

Great support, a fantastic community, and lots of lovely friendly people!!!

Thanks to the DFW forum, I quickly learnt to no longer be scared about my debt problems and not let creditors bully me. I feel in control of my debts even though I've still got a lot to pay off.

IT'S FANTASTIC IN HERE! Here's a big cake to celebrate ...

    Synopsis

Mike spent his life savings on home improvements so his sons could come and visit, but was left in the lurch by rogue builders who destroyed his house, leaving him depressed and desperate, reliant on internet forums for contact with the outside world. Mike's ancient flint house was riddled with damp, causing his 16-year-old son to suffer a terrible asthma attack that left him in hospital.

With the help of local trades, family, friends and Mike's online community, Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team spend nine days turning Mike's wreck of a home into a house fit for the future.
