Free Casting breakdowns & audition info

Do you know where or how you can get free access to information on castings and auditions for film, tv and theatre in the UK as there are so many scams out there - websites claiming to do this for an annual subscription fee but once you've paid you get nothing...? Isn't there a free publication or website that provides actors with this information?
It's already so expensive getting headshots, showreels, voicereels etc that having to pay to find out about castings and auditions is an added expense that we can't afford...
