hi looks to me like you have aplan ..it's weird seeing things in black and white isn't it ...horryfying and scary panicky ...but when you have a plan in mind it feels like you tackling things and therepfre you feel more positive ..there are plenty on here with diary's (myself included) who find that writting things down helps ..although i tend not to write too much of my finances ..maybe i should start ...i planned on getting rid of visa first ..thankfully that is nearly done ..i think actually stating that that was my plan helped ...good luck with you diary0

So, after listing everything out and going back to it almost constantly, month end is more disappointing than I had hoped. I always go overboard with presents, working to stop that. A budget means a budget!!
Halifax CC £2,769.82 21.9% APR
NatWest CC £4,990 0% APR ends this month Interest will be £68.59 unless GE Capital get a wiggle on!
Barclaycard £1,162.53
Interest free credit item £2,654
Overdraft £1,976.64 (Advantage Gold )
Total - £13,563.33 This will be my benchmark debt.
Food not too bad in August, £113.47 for 2 + 2 cats, although todays Tesco delivery (free, of course!) has not shown on the overdraft yet, I will count that in to next month.
It has also been hell of a week at work, including working away, so have not been able to put much of a dent in the list, will progress again this weekend. I can't believe it is 11.30pm already!
2 birthdays and £5.98 in Ikea (trust me, that is me being soooo good), replace a flask that I smashed and a prescription charge are costs that are exceptions this month, working to reduce.
I am full of admiration for those with larger debts and kids, I don't know how you do it guys.Ciggie free 2am 21/09/06. Debt free 25/06/09.'It was such a lovely day I thought 'it's a pity to get up'' W. Somerset Maugham.0 -
Arranging to swap Petplan for Sainsburys, saving at least £10 per month for 2 cats.
Decided to stick with BT but reduce the plan greatly - got my £60 credit back into my bank account and reduced monthly payments from £50 to £38.
Received PIN number from GE Monday but not the card - this is one week over what they said it would be. Hope they are not as slow to transfer the balances to 0%!
As usual, please feel free not to post to ensure the help pleas are at the top.
Bloody charges for overdraft are £35.09 this month ARRRGGGHHH! That's one weeks food!!
Hello
Oo oo! Almost forgot, also got about £25 back from credit with the waterboard too! Fantastic!Ciggie free 2am 21/09/06. Debt free 25/06/09.'It was such a lovely day I thought 'it's a pity to get up'' W. Somerset Maugham.0 -
A letter dated 26th August arrived on 8th September with my new GE 0% credit card. I called about the balance transfer and the limit they gave me is only a third of what I need for the transfer. When I applied on the internet I gave the balance transfer amounts. I called customer service today to ask about the transfers and they said they would put me through another credit check to raise the limit.
I think my question is - If my application stated the balance transfer is £8,000 why would they give me a £2,500 limit? Are they likely to refuse the increase request?
Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi
Have a look on the CC board - I'm sure there's some threads about the same thing.
Amex BA card started to do odd things too - they advertised LOB BTs, accepted applications and gave limits, then refused to do the BT.
Hopefully they'll be some informed reasons over there.Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180
