hey
its both my parent's 50th birthdays this year and as i've changed venue we transfered the deposit over to having a massive party instead.
she has now told me that i can arrange all the decorations etc for the party.
i'm totally stuck!
so far i have bunting in my head and garden games, as we are having tables what type of centre pieces do we have if any ?
the party is on a friday in August between 8pm and 11pm so will be light still but shall have a disco and buffet but the place has a outside decking area so if its warm most people will be out there.
i haven't had a party in years ( never one like this ) so what do i do?!
also how do you word the invites to explain that its a joint party and that you want everyone to wear shirts and dresses
help please!

Got some baloons and some 50 confetti for the tables. and a massive 50 balloon, thats all you need. We got a cake from costco so that was a bargain.

get some giant jenga, giant connect 4, try ebay for them or you can hire them? Or for free set up a game of rounders?

Depends how much work you want to create for yourself, i would say with everything you have got on your plate you're better off trying to keep it simple.
Agree with the Future Mrs Moore, confetti, balloons and banners teamed with photos. And Costco cakes are heaven. If my memory serves me rightly they are only £10!
I would just get 2 garden games, most people will sit around and talk, dance etc. But if you have a couple of games they become the "cool" thing to do IYKWIM?
On the invite I would say something likeJanet and Bob's 50th Birthday!!!

Get some cheap buckets and spades for the tables. You can get them in poundland etc, fill them with sand (stolen from beach) or pebbles.
