Just purchased a £57 scanner from PC World :eek: (it was a good price)

"Would you like to purchase a three year warranty for £19.99?":eek:
Me: "no thanks"
"How about £9.99?":eek:
Me: "no thanks"
"Free?"
Me: "OK":rolleyes:

The receipt shows a £19.99 Manager offer discount on the scanner
More interesting - the agreement can be cancelled within 14 days for full refund = £57 - £20 = £37 for the scanner.
Now that's a Money Saving Expert :money: bargain idea!:T

From what I can remember from when I worked at PC World (it was about 4 years ago) it's not possible to discount the Coverplan so the discount always comes off the item(s).

If you were to cancel the agreement, then you wouldn't receive the £19.99 back - it's just a restriction on the tills.

Worth keeping for free though.......... i bought a 19" Proview monitor a good few years ago now ......... same thing ...... got it for £20 after 2.5 years the monitor starting making a clicking noise(Line Output tranformer was fashing over) phoned them up explained and they sent me a brand new CTX monitor.

I upgraded to a TFT and sold the new CTX
