Hey guys and girls,
Thinking about buying this camera:
http://www.dixons.co.uk/gbuk/panasonic-lumix-dmc-tz8-compact-digital-camera-04833944-pdt.html#tab-accessories
it £199.60 for panasonic tz8 might get the case as well since it extra £10 (unless you know of anywhere cheaper), also get quidco for 3.5% so should be cheaper than amazon (it same price).
I am just wondering since PCWorld, comet and currys are in my town if they had this model would I be able to get them to price match dixons so I can have it now, going to Florida in just under 2 weeks and thought I get a new camera.
I considered the Tz7 but I notice it does not have manual modes plus tz8 suppose to have slightly better battery times.

PC World and Currys are owned by Dixons so that is a good place to start price matching.0

Last time I was in PC world (just before xmas 09) looking for a price match I was told they would PM currys and comet but not dixons (as it's online only so doesn't have the overheads of a shop).
It's only a game

PC and Curry's won't match dixons, might be worth looking on their website and seeing how much they are selling it for, otherwise i would order off dixons.0

They want £250 for it so it best getting it from amazon or dixons, ow well I just have to wait to get it then.0

Just did a quick search and you can get it from a site called Power-On for £182.62 with free standard shipping.
Unfortunately I cannot post a URL cos I am new, but I'm sure you'll be able to find it when you get on there. Its power-on dot co dot uk.0 -
mmm At that price I would pay a little more and go for a DSLR, for just over £300 you can get a good Nikon or Cannon one with a lens, far better value for money and quality.Approach her; adore her. Behold her; worship her. Caress her; indulge her. Kiss her; pleasure her. Kneel to her; lavish her. Assert to her; let her guide you. Obey her as you know how; Surrender is so wonderful! I bought one of these after reading a lot of very good reviews. I guess that must have raised my expectation as its not a bad camera but imho its over rated and doesnt live up to the hype.
I bought my wife the Casio EX H10 and having used it myself i would say its as good if not better than my Lumix at a much lower price.0 -
Its a fantastic camera with great video and very high detailed pictures. Can't go wrong.0
