Where have all the coupons gone?

I was on a roll and all of a sudden no more! Asda wouldn't take my last lot of Internet print offs and there has been no sign of the August Asda Magazine. My papers have had none for two weeks and I haven't seen any posted on MSE for magazines. This week was my first coupon free shop for weeks. Does this usually happen during summer time?

Yep I think coupons are a bit thin on the ground at the mo, I'm using some I bought on ebay in the Spring (had a good couple of months after that when I didn't need to buy any thanks to MSE!).

Incidentally, are the magazines Real People and That's Life still around? Couldn't find them in my Tesco and wondered if they had stopped production, as rubbish mags sometimes do? I am still using some Jusrol pastry coupons which came from Real People that week back in June when they had loads of coupons in.....I think I bought 20 copies that week so I still look out for it in the hope of a repeat!

I am also slipping in some internet printed ones with a few others when I think the CS won't look at them - the 'jobsworths' always reject these don't they?

Don't know, I'm going to Blue Water (big shopping centre) tomorrow so will have a look. I hope 'Love It' keeps going as I have just sent off to subscribe to next 13 weeks half-price. they are still running the offer. You get lots of other goodies like makeup and vouchers for tanning. Have to see

I'm pretty sure That's Life and Real People are still going strong (the former I have seen in my MILs house on more than one occasion ). Whenever I'm in the shops, I think I should have a quick look through them in case there are any good vouchers, but I always forget/get distracted.

And yes, I'm running low on coupons as well.

You are right. Hardly no coupons around! Now that my dh was getting used at using them. BTW do you know if Sainsbury´s accepts the coupons of its magazine without buying the product, tesco doesn´t but asda does.

If its any help, in Morrisons on Saturday they had 50p Coupons on a table and in the fridge - they were for Munch Bunch Squashums 6 packs but would scan in asda tesco waitrose etc. They do have morrisons logo on them but they may not notice it!

I thought Morrisons vouchers could only be used in Morrisons.

Ebay seem to have a lot of money off vouchers for store and loads of the book ones going cheap as well (do shops still accept these?)

Sometimes the SA aren't very alert and don't check all of the coupons. Amd also, Self Scan wouldn't notice the morrisons logo either.

Yes i am abit short at the moment as well, we need some in the newspapers this week!!

See my post in the Newspaper thread, there is a 75p coupon in the (38p) Daily Mirror today - but only valid until tomorrow so don't buy more than one! Also I haven't tested it yet for scanning (has a barcode tho' and looks OK).

Magazines seem to have very few coupons in, although I was in my hairdressers this morning and found there a 40p Kingsmill voucher in last week's Take a Break....I did ask first before tearing it out, no probs! May try the Doctor's waiting room tomorrow (haven't got an appointment but could still wander in, it's a big surgery!!)

Have you got a Somerfields near you ,as their free mag always has lots of coupons which i always use at Tescos & have never had any problems with.
And in answer to the other question,yes the 'quick read'vouchers still work.:T
