can i rent out my garden ?

I am registered on the landshare.net site as a landowner. I've had 3 people interested in my garden but none have been suitable (they all live about 20-30 mins walk away, don't drive and there's nowhere here for them to store their tools).
Last month the website was "relaunched" and I've found it to awful since the update! Admittedly I haven't been on for about a month.
There are template agreements on the site for people to use but they also stress that people should obtain legal advice too before entering into agreements.
The agreements state that no money should be exchanged for the use of the garden but that the grower should supply fresh produce in return for the use of the garden. Also that the produce should not then be sold on to third parties (although how the site would know is mind boggling).
I was surprised to read the agreements are heavily loaded in the favour of the land owner. Basically, the land owner calls all the shots, stating who is allowed onto the property and at what times (within reason). So as a land owner, if you want your garden to yourself on Sundays or after 6pm each day, the grower is not allowed to pop round on Sundays or must be gone by 6pm.
I think it's a fab idea for fair minded people. The site hasn't worked for me yet but I have thought about posting flyers through the doors of my neighbours. That way, at least I know they'll be able to nip home quickly with their tools for a break or shelter and they haven't got a long hike putting them off coming round regularly.
I'd advice on the templates and you never know, there could be someone who lives local who is looking for what you have.

I rented my garden... i had a HUGE yard like half a football yard. And i rented it out to someone who put a chicken coop in the back of it.. and some of it to his DIL who did veggies berries etc. And still had plenty for me.
i did it on a yearly basis.. (we moved this year) and you have to be careful with that... But i got rent... free eggs and veggies lol0 -
Four years ago I started renting my back garden to my neighbour.
I still have my front garden which I tend with minimal work and dont really need the back garden.
Basically I kept one third of my garden and my neighbour took the remaining two thirds, we had a basic lease drawn up by a solicitor friend and I get rent once a year. We moved the small fence between us as a team effort so if the agreement ends its a case of moving it back (and this is included in the lease).
Works for us, but not everyones cup of tea.When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0
