Whilst these are cheap yes, how many people bothered to import a console from Japan, its not like the PSP launch where it was out in other regions almost 9months before the UK. There was almost a Global launch of the 360.
Can't see more than a handfull of people in the UK imported one..0 -
People are not going to have Jap 360's. And if they do have.. they are not moneysaving

But if you do have 1, its a good price obviously.Be nice0 -
you can get some which are region free so just look in the decription. The only thing is some people have been stung with import tax but then others havnt so really is hit and miss0

Many enthusiasts own import machines, you can't get Senko No Ronde outside Japan, and N3 has been out for ages. There is a large import community in the UKsmashed wrote:People are not going to have Jap 360's. And if they do have.. they are not moneysaving
Umm, AFAIK JPN 360s and Asian games have never been more expensive than UK versions, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks to the OP - a mate of mine will be picking up some cheapies. I'm sure there are more JPN console owners on here who'll appreciate this.
Note to BG: might be worth moving to "shop but don't drop" as it's not for everyone.0 -

In some cases, it is cheaper to get the UK version over japanese or european - i've got a japanee friend who has impored from here in the Uk as some games are better priced.~*Cerenia*~

Not for the X360 though. Our XBox 360 games start way over their prices.
Unless there was some amazing offer then importing is mostly cheaper. More so on the 360.
Americans are thinking that Wii Games for £25 will be ridiculous and £40 for PS3 games but god knows what we'll pay! No wonder we import.0 -
Charlie..wasnt saying the games are more expensive. Was talking more about the cost of importing a Jap 360Be nice0

I got an Xbox 360 Premium Japanese version for £150 all inclusive (including the transformer/ntsc->pal converter which I didn't need)...smashed wrote:People are not going to have Jap 360's. And if they do have.. they are not moneysaving

Think that's a slight improvement on the £280 they retail for (or £216 I believe is the cheapest I've ever seen a UK Premium go for).
Didn't notice NBA at that price - although I'll give it a pass since it's the Japanese langauge version and Fifa annoyed me (although I managed to get a partial translation over the phone from someone with a UK version of the game).0 -
I take it back, thats very impressive. IF you can get new 360 Premiums imported, with all the equipment, to the UK, including customs and excise charges, for £150..... then I am truly amazed.
Start a thread on it, then even more can moneysave.Be nice0 -

With these games being under under the £17 import limit they will get though without any extra charges but anything over £17 or £18 is liable for customs duty0
