Mortgage Application is in - can I use my credit card again?

Hi all,
This'll sound like a bit of a stupid question, but now that I've had my mortgage initial application agreed, and the credit scoring done, will I be ok to put an application for a new credit card in, without it messing up my mortgage application.
I've got a couple of things I need to pay for (flights/solicitors fees/road tax) that I'd rather have on a 0% cc until after the move is over, just so I can keep as much cash in the bank as possible in cash of emergencies.
Any advice?

Oh god, we've just applied for a mortgage with HSBC and been accepted - have had the formal mortgage offer and returned it. We had no problems with the affordability or anything and the ltv is low.
My DH has just taken out a new credit card - it's been taken on purely to pay for his travelling every month - he flies/commuting from our family home to his place of work each week. He wanted to pay on a credit card each month so that he was covered for using online etc and gain some airmiles albeit a pittance of an amount. We do intend to pay off in full each month.
Does this mean we could end up with an issue on the mortgage once the bank go to release the funds if they do another credit check!?0 -
Shouldn't really be an issue if the affordability was fine beforehand, and the amount on the credit card is not huge.poppy100

Thanks, it won't be for a large amount but it seemed the safest way to pay for them each month. Fingers crossed it doesn't put a spanner in the works at the last moment
He did have another credit card but never used it (long story!) so he cancelled that at the time of applying for this one as this one was better for airmiles etc - just to complicate matters. So, I guess in effect he already had a credit card when we applied intially, he's just swapped it.
