I love my snowball

As some of you know I have a lot of debt to deal with, about £80000 without the mortgage (£60,000). I know loads of people will be using the snowball tool already but for those who havent or those who waiver when spending money... go have a look. Basically the snowball shows you the best order to pay debts off in, the effect of even tiny changes in the amount you throw at the problem and my new best thing... its called treats. So for those who are a bit further away from the big bad bogeyman than me (I feel like I am surrounded by BBBogeyman and the rest of his bogeys), and are thinking about a treat... well have a look at the effect it will have on your plan to get to debt free status... well this just has to be the conscience I have lacked made into something I will rely on. I am an ex smoker, hate smell, etc.... but there are still times I waiver..... and thats when I need to remind myself why I stopped and what I would lose by starting... well its not so different with me and money, so the treat calculator will smack me between the eyes. If others want to treat me thats fine but I am going to try really hard to stick to the treat calculator :j
"Many a mickle maks a muckle"... but just how many mickles do you need ? dont suppose a piece of string and a ha'penny will do this time:rotfl:

Good hint there for all newbies.

Another hint is to make a diary of what you spend and then cut back on one (some/or all) the non essential rubbish you buy, which you can then use to aid your snowballing efforts

    Good luck
