Couple of additional options, different capacities, also that just require one USB lead:
    320GB for £37.97 = 15.2 pence per GB http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-5486.aspx
    640GB for £84.97 = 13.3 pence per GB http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-2139.aspx
    500GB for £64.99 = 13.0 pence per GB http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Passport-Essential-Portable/dp/B002KPW5IS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1274298715&sr=8-1

These were £27.38 SEL in my local Tesco Extra yesterday, but I noticed this morning they're back at £38 something. Of course, they may still be scanning for £27. (I was hunting for the HotUKDeals £199 Acer Ferrari laptop).

I have a TV with a USB connection socket. If I can get hold of one of these at Tesco, will I be able to load it full of my CDs (subject to copyright..blah blah..) and simply plug it into the telly. Will it power from the telly's USB?

It should work, but if it doesn't I understand Tesco will give you a refund within 28 days. Check with their Customer Services first to be sure.

In stock in my local but SEL £38 and scans at £38 (got my mum to put it through till as she works there). I would have got it for £20ish (as my mum gets discount and had a clubcard voucher to use!):(

Got one today for £28 in Tesco Extra at Crown Point, Denton. There was one left after I had bought my one. Just hope it's the hard drive thing OH has been looking out for! Thanks OP!

PS SEL said £45 down to £38 but it scanned at £28.

Update on mine, got DTD £40 cash back on two more today - nett cost £7 each, went back today, marked up at £38 on the Computer Aisle but some still on display on an end gondola SEL of £28 but crucially the £28 SEL was covered by another flyer showing the 5p fuel thingy, so got two more, went through tills at £38, went straight to CS took the girl to the previously obscured £28 lable and jackpot DTD back on both discs £20 each.
I'll now take one back with my original £27 receipt and get a £27 refund, left with two for a total £15 - very happy, missus and CS gobsmacked:rotfl:
