Hey Minnie - good luck with the bedroom blitz!

OK here were my goals for last week:

    1. Try to get some lifts home to save on bus fare when I return to work as I am so so so so so skint at the moment and literally every penny will count. Done! But I don't think it really saved me anything this week...complicated...have to get bus TO work = £1.50 whereas a day return is £2. However a full weks ticket is only £8. If I continue with the single fares to work and get lifts home, over the course of a week I will save 50p. Big wow.
    2. Find a picture or something of a house as I want to make my friend a "Welcome to Your New Home" card. Done! I drew a picture in the end and did a clever rhyme on it. I hope she likes it....
    3. Bank the shrapnel I have in my shrapnel tin to help bring my overdraft down a bit. Nope. Kept forgetting - will try again this week.
    4. Find something to list on EBAY. I sold something this week for the first time in ages and still three days to go on the auction so hoping the price will go up a tad more. It has whetted my appetite for EBAY again. Errrr, appetite surpressed again. Didn't even look for another thing to sell. How pathetic.
    5. Find a nice freebie somewhere to cheer myself up! :DGot some GLIST dishwasher tablet which I gave to my skint Mother!
    6. Write another review for Ciao. Acheived!

Goals for w/c 21st August are:

    1. Write another review for Ciao.
    2. Bank the shrapnel.
    3. Make a frugal menu/meal planner for the week.
    4. Find something to SELL!!
    5. Find something nice but cheap to do on Friday when BF and I have the day off together - he will have his new car so we can go out for the day. Want to keep it frugal!

    Good luck everyone.
Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
    Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

Haven't done this before but I think its a great idea, so I hope nobody minds me joining in. This week I want to...

    1. Have one no spend day
    2. Take lunch to work 3 days out of 5
    3. Have 3 no alcohol days
    4. Make use of the "gazelle" air walker machine that is gathering dust in the corner of the lounge at least 5 days out of 7 (the diet could certainly use it;), and lets face it, its useless as a clothes horse so we may as well use it, given that we bought it!:p)
    5. No takeaways! (Better for the purse and the diet!!)
    6. Pack up some boxes to take up to storage when we visit parents next weekend, and also start sorting cupboards/drawers to throw out any rubbish/give anything decent to charity shop (hoping to put house on market in not too distant future and need to de-clutter...:o )

OK, I think thats more than enough for the first week...don't want to scare myself off before I start!:rotfl:
