Got the sack

Hi all.
so I got the sack this morning, i've only worked there for 7 weeks, bit worried about things.
I only worked 5 hours a week, which I have gone in all the time, on time.
The big boss I worked with last week(8th)...have been in since then and worked another day
Yesterday (18th) they called me 1530 regarding references (needed to fill a form in for old employer), did this it was all fine.
Today I got another phone call at 0915am (19th) saying that when she worked with me on the 8th of May she didnt think that I was confident enough for the role, that she wasn't happy me being with the clients etc and told me she was terminating my contract.....so confused!!
why did she not say this yesterday?
is this going to look bad on my references now? ive never been sacked before!!!!!!

You've not been sacked; you've been let go. Think of it as a trial period that didn't work out. Or don't mention it at all on your CV or applications.
If they weren't happy about your confidence, why did they employ you in the first place?0 -
Make sure that if they dismissed you with immediate effect that they pay you the statutory minimum notice period of one week - 5hrs pay in your case. And also make sure that you get your holiday pay as well.0

Awwwwwwwwwww bless your heart (((hugs)))
How the heck are you supposed to get confident with clients if they don't allow you the time to practice confidence *where is that roll eyes smilie when you need him*
Chalk it down to work experience and don't let the beggers grind you down!Mags - who loves shopping0 -
Unfortunately job don't always work out, for a number of reasons, and it's not necessarily anyone's fault.
There are so many things that can go wrong, it may not be the right kind of job for you, or maybe the company was no good, or it could simply be a matter of personalities.
I would not put it down in your CV though, nothing to be gained.0 -
thanks all

well, had i have got adequate training i would have of course been more confident, they did not train me at all, even with how to sign on to the computer, i had to work this out for myself. I was literally throw into the deep end in a job that i had no experience to do. I was not told procedures etc, policies and all these things. I have worked in many roles where confidence is a key attribute!!
There was me and one other person who worked on a saturday, i had worked with the manager 2 times previously.
I'm more annoyed that if she had felt this since the 8th why wait until now to say anything? Ive just put my referencing fee down on a house, obviously had the put them on the form to show i was working....thats probably £200 wasted now!!If she had told me before, I would have been able to at least try and find something else!!
Thanks for all your responses and advice
