Gaining qualifications to increase chances of obtaining a job & career progression

Hi FolksI was made redundant a few months ago and now looking for a career change. So, I am looking to do a professional qualification which would increase my chances of getting a job and progress in my eventual chosen career.Basically, I am prepared to spend 1 to 2 years studying full time/part time by going to college/university. I enjoy dealing with figures, data analysis, and working with spreadsheets. I want to study for a course that I can realistically afford - e.g I can't afford to pay 1,000s of pounds on a course only to find out there is not much demand for a job/career requiring that type of qualification.By the way, I am a graduate - I graduated about 20 years ago with an ordinary degree - non hnouors in modules made up from business studies and finance. Finally, can you advice how I can find out the demand for jobs requiring a particular qualification?Thakns in advance for your response.
