Very.co.uk customer service?

I recently tried to purchase a washing machine from Very.co.uk online, they emailed me to say that the express delivery was not available however I could have the standard delivery...the operator said that my card payment was declined - I asked if it had already gone through for the item + express delivery - answer 'no'.......truth yes it had so I had to open an account to order the washer because they said they didn't have my money but the bank said they had because there was an authorisation code......consequently it took me overdrawn and I got charged £25 for the privilege....It took 7 days to get my money back after having to start a formal dispute with the bank...very are refusing to compensate me....anyone else had a similar experience and what did you do?

I had very BAD experience with VERY too .They sent me wrong item and due to money off code I used if I returned that wrong item they will recharge me cause I will not spend enough to qualify that code. Hence the original item I want to order is no longer available, they suggest I can returned the whole order back in order to get refund but not the postal fee. So I sent my email to TRADING STANDARD and send emails randomly to their heardquarter tell them the way I was treated and what make me so determinate to get help from trading standard.RESUIT, I get 30 pounds extra cash to my bank!
U can only be nasty to a nasty company like that!

I have been with Very for years when they were additions and I have to so in my opinion the customer service has been great.

I purchased a bbq and was promised Saturday delivery, when it didnt arrive I called very and they said that because it was a 2 man delivery the courier could only deliver on the Monday so I asked to speak to a supervisor and I moaned that I hadnt been informed of the late delivery and how inconvenient it was to me so she instantly offered to refund my delivery charge and credit my account with £30 goodwill gesture.

When the bbq was delivered the men wouldnt put it inside my door for safety and would only leave it in my garden so again I called very and said it was disgusting that they would move it 2 feet to inside my door and that I had to call my husband to come home and help me inside with it, again I spoke to a supervisor who once again credited my account with £30 goodwill gesture

Maybe I have been lucky ;)

Same here been with very for years, if you find the right codes you can get some fantastic bargains, look out for the 20% off ones came in great for a £800 camera.
