Early Repayment Charges

Got a laptop last year on a buy now pay later deal.

I am now about to settle the finance and if I want to do that HFC are charging an 'Early Repayment Admin Charge' of £25!!

Can they do this? Didn't happen last time I took out finance. I know that it will be cheaper than their stupid interest rate but it seems that everywhere you turn these days someone is tryng to make more money out of you by introducing small charges!

Bahh, I am a grumpy old woman!!!

Check your terms and conditions, they probably can though. In fact most loans have some kind of early payment penalty attached to them now as they would otherwise lose out on all that interest
