Hi all,
I have a mortgage with Natwest, I'm on a 5 year fixed rate so it's not up for renewal or anything but I'm just wondering if I will receive some sort of statement of account or anything at the end of the first year saying how much I've paid and how much I still owe etc.
I'd like to work out how much I have paid in interest and just generally have an idea of where I am with it. I like to know how my finances are doing and I must admit I'm a bit confused by the mortgage.
Also, I'm thinking of paying off a bit extra as I have some spare cash. The mortgage started in August 2009, does anyone know how long it take for an overpayment to be applied to the account?

Statements on mortgages are generally annual. Not necessarily 12 months from your mortgage date but maybe fixed month in the year. It varies with lenders. The mortgage started in August 2009
So, it will be a few pence lower thendoes anyone know how long it take for an overpayment to be applied to the account?
