Mortgage on benefits

I own my house outright, it was given to me before I was married, Oh why did I get married lol!!! I'm on benefits and manage well, so could stretch to paying a mortgage.
Anyway, now my soon to be ex husband may be entitled to 30% of the value, my youngest child is only 4 so I know he can't make me do anything until she leaves school or I get married or live with someone again.
Anyway I will have to pay him around 43k, hopefully less I just want him off my back and completely out of my life, I would rather be paying for it now than waiting for years!
Any ideas or advice is very welcome!
