Depression affecting my work

Update - it's pay day on the 24th (to cover the period from 1st May - 31st May) - I've been informed of the amount I will be paid this month, which appears to have an amount deducted of approximately 1 weeks pay. Our Sick pay allowance is 5 days per year, of which I've taken one so far (1st Jan - 31st Dec) so that's pretty much as I'd expected.
Now - we have 28 days holiday a year, including 6 days BH although my contract doesn't say that, it's taken as read that we don't work BH. Am I right in saying that if I have only been paid SSP for the 31st May, then I am due another days holiday later in the year?
Not necessarily.
Depends on your contract and the employers policies.
You arent legally entitled to automatically have holidays returned if you are signed off though.0 -

I think you will find that is not the case - http://www.personneltoday.com/articles/2009/09/11/52148/staff-who-fall-sick-during-annual-leave-entitled-to-retake-holiday.html
Have I just answered my own question?
My contract doesn't mention the procedure for this situation, and as it such a small company, I don't believe any precedent has been set. although the other employee was allowed to take two days of the time he was delayed in Spain due to the ash cloud as 'sick leave' on full pay, and a further two days as 'discretionary leave' again, on full pay. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
Having had clinical depression I don't know how anyone manages a full time workload like that. You are doing really well. I know this isnt advice but when I was very depressed all I could do was sleep. My energy was non existent.
The gov don't want people on the sick and are trying to get them off but then employees aren't getting the support they need when they are ill.The gov want ill people to work but then wont consider how they are treated when they are doing the right thing and trying to earn a wage.If you find something irritating in my post or that you disagree with, then please don't jump on me ,just please ignore my post.I have come to the site for useful information and not to argue. thanks.0
