When paying off a loan in full am I better to pay the amount less a months payment so as to avoid a penalty?

I know whith my loan that I am paying off in Aug... we are leaving a small amount as our charge for paying off early is 30days interest on whatever amount is left - hope that makes sense! I'd call your bank/look at your agreement first.
