Final Months Pay - Confused

Hi,

I am leaving my current job on Friday 21st May 2010, i usually get paid on the 25th of each month. Payroll has calculated my final months pay as the following;

You will be paid on 25th May your final salary. Your basis pay will be 15 working days (£25000 divided by 260 (number of working days in a year) multiplied by 15 equals £1442.31 and we have been instructed, by HR, to pay you 1.5 days holiday pay which is calculated in the same way and therefore equals £144.23.
The net pay is £1230.78.
Best wishes for the future

Does anyone know if this is correct, or if they have worked this out wrong?

Thanks,

Kris

    they have explained how they have calculated it, and there is nothing there that alarms me. What is is that you are uncomfortable with?

    The calculation is 100% correct.

    If you are happy with the amount of holidays owed then there is nothing that looks off to me (and I do payroll). This is the way we calculate it.

    Are you sure the holiday is correct
    When is the holiday year?
    What holiday do you get?
    how many have you taken?
