Ripening passion fruit

Hi everyone!

Newbie here - although I have to say that I have been lurking for a few weeks, and have definitely earned my OS wings - Stardrops, White Vinegar, slow cooker dragged out from retirement - you guys rock!!!:T

Anyway, visited my OS grandmother today, who kindly gave me a load of passion fruit from her v. v. impressive plant ( i actually was after a cutting...).:o

Anyway - they are NO WAY ripe - a very orange colour. IIRC they are supposed to be shrivelled and purple before I can use them...

Any ideas?? Thanks in advance !

To ripen passionfruit I just leave them at room temperature in the fruit bowl with some bananas.
