There are also a couple of very cheap sofas on the Argos Clearance bit of ebay. Weirdly, they will only deliver to certain postcodes, though:

Serious question this, I've often wondered about does anyone actually buy a sofa that they have never sat on? How do you know you'll like it/it'll be comfy and not feel like sitting on a bail of straw (as seems to be the case for many these days imo), or bricks? Or if the back catches you just so in the lumbar region/ silly positioning of lumbar cushions makes you adopt a wierd posture?
I ask because after trawling around lots of furniture stores I've only found 3 sofas I'd actually enjoy cuddling up on to watch telly of an evening and of these 3 only 1 I actually liked the design of.
It's only a game

We bought a leather corner suite from Tesco last year when they were on offer at half price. Obviously we couldn't try before we bought and so I rang and asked them what would happen if we didn't like the sofa or thought it was uncomfortable. They said all we'd have to do was ring them and they'd come and pick up the sofa for free and we'd get a refund. Luckily the suite was really comfy, so we got a bargain, but I don't know if all retailers have the same policy, or even if Tesco still do the same.0 -
Love the Albany sofas, a now familiar question from me - does anyone know if the seat cushions come off or is it one fixed unit. i need cushions to come off for cleaning crumbs and retrieving toys!
I've phoned Tesco to try and find out the answer to this but they don't know! They have however said that if I order and they don't, a full refund will be forthcoming. Still, if anyone does know, I'd be very grateful to share your knowledge as I'm trying to decide between these and the Argos venus sofas posted previously.
Many thanks in advance.0
