Got the price wrong on my house -only by £250 though, i guess they round down!0 -
If these house prices are based on the values shown at the Land Registry you need to be a little bit careful as to the actual price paid.
We bought our house (new) from Barratt and they gave us a £13,000 discount for a quick sale. However the Land Registry price shows that we paid the full price before the discount (and we had to pay stamp duty on that too!).
So if the seller does anything like throwing in discounts or cashbacks (which we did when we sold a house a few years ago) the actual price paid may have been below what the LR states.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
