Wow.
Someone came here and asked for suggestions, so I take great trouble to make a suggestion. Then someone else comes along with a flippant, dismissive, 2-second remark, based on teatime telly, aimed at me personally, which is then immediately thanked!
It leaves me wondering why I bother if what the membership want on this forum is negativity and defeatism. I had such a different impression a couple of days ago when I really believed this was a good place.
I am honestly stunned, not to mention confused and hurt.
Perhaps a moderator can let me know in a fair way if in future I should not make any effort to make suggestions to people who ask for them, so that this trial by sarcasm isn't neccesary to facillitate my exit from here in the event that it is I, personally, who is unwelcome.
Sorry, let me explain. I clicked thanks based on the flippancy of the remark, your letter was extremely good in all fairness and I have since thanked the post.
Seriously though, don't take it to heart; some people do take the mickey but it's not intended in the way it always reads - for instance, I do think your last post was amazing and this post to be fair, is quite grown up (i'd have been whinging myself) - so respect and fair play to you.
Moderators do not get involved in such issues i'm afraid, its a case of grin and bear it or just move on to the next thread - it was quite funny, in a weird sort of way though - be honest.....
negativity and defeatism is not me, you'll easily see that and I too spend a lot of time helping others but sometimes I also take the mickey - its just a forum, don't take it so much to heart and enjoy the laugh and the fun, along with the good advice you may give and receive.
Good letter and good points raised in your letter. :T

Hi,
If you have any success let me know! We moved into our new home last summer, and since then have been plagued with letters, visits and phonecalls for the previous tenants debts! I used to return all letters but nothing was done about it, so I tried calling the companies, and was told they would amend their files, but they never do so. We have bailiffs turn up on a weekly basis and even had some scary looking men in suits turn up once looking for the previous people with regards to fraud! But its the phonecalls that annoy me the most. I am 7 months pregnant, we have small children in the house and my partner is disabled, and yet virtually everytime the phone rings it is some foreign call centre asking for the other people. We have to answer it in case it is for us, but they often phone as late as 10pm! I have no idea why BT thought it a good idea to give us the same phone number as them!0 -
Wow.
Wow to your reaction.
I apologise if i offended you but honestly if you don't take things so seriously you will get on a lot better round here. Never-in-doubt has put it far better than I ever could so I have nothing more really to add. It was just a flippant remark that anyone who was reading this and watched the programme would probably find slightly amusing.
To be honest, anyone who did see the programme (did you?) would probably agree that to be fair the DVLA guy actually did rather well and it was obvious any problems with the organisation were small in number but sadly had large consequences. Your post was extremely helpful and I have thanked it as such. Now, go see your doctor about some chill pills
