Help! Do I have a problem?
My Mother in law gave me her Kenwood which is 35 years old and has not been used for years. I have read the threads relating to the love affair so many of you have with the old Kenwoods and am not surprised. It is brilliant.
BUT .... when I use it it works fine... butter, bread, cakes, soups, lemonades, meringues, pastry, crumble ...wow. When I stop it it makes a noise which sound a bit like it is dry ... perhaps a bit like a slipping fan belt on a car ... though not as bad.
Is it possible to get inside them to oil anything or should I perhaps get it serviced ... though heavens knows where?
Any advice from those experienced Kenwooders out there

I had a little shufty round t'internet and found this http://www.billingtonelec.co.uk/pages/repairs.php
I don't know how much it might cost, particularly if you had to post it to them. I have a Kenwood Chef Major, bought as a wedding present a few years ago, and it's very, very noisy. I don't know if that's normal or if there's something wrong with it.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

For crying out loud, you'd think a spammer would be slightly smarter than topping every single thread mentioning Kenwoods from years ago.
