McDonalds Group Interview

  • Hi Alison, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(
I have worked at Mcdonalds for a year now. My advice really would be to look for another job right away.
Even though they say they work around you what they mean is "You will come in when it suits us, we dont realise you probably need to make a set amount each month"
For instance I was taken on as full time. The one were I work is in a seaside town so obv much quieter in the winter. As a full time employee I was doing 15 hours a week in January. Part timers had 4 hours that had to be on a Saturday! If you couldnt do Saturday you didnt get any hours at all!

The only way Ive seen people get good treatment around childcare etc is if they are a manager already that has children and returns to work on these conditions.

Sad to say that McDonalds probably will not be a job that works for you :/
