Hello,
Looking to purchase a new build and looking for a 85% mortgage deal but there does seem to be many people offering it or they do not mention it at all. Had a agreement in principle with Nationwide but they have changed the policy and have withdrawn it now. There seems to be some mention of Halifax doing it but they do not mention it at all.

Thanks

Micheal

    Hi Michael
we have just secured a mortgage through ACCORD mortgages - 85% new build with stamp duty incentive as well - managed to get a rate through a broker of 4.46% fixed for 2 years - was an admin fee which has been added to mortgage - but we can overpay.

application to offer letter was 3 weeks
accord are a division of yorkshire building society

    good luck x
  • We have spoken to Halifax but they only do 80%. So seeing if we can get the extra money from somewhere. I will have a look at Accord now. It is for a house.

Ours was for a house as well - they did come back with some silly rates at first but push for lower.
What about trying yorkshire building society first?
