Hi,
Please, does anybody know whether there's a chance i'll get accepted for a loan of £25,000, unsecured, and self-certified as i'm self-employed? And maybe where i should look? Also what are the chances they will ask for bank statements / accountant's certificate etc.
I have excellent credit rating, experian score as of today was 999.
Thanks for all help

How much do you earn? I'm not an expert in Loans, but for a loan of £25,000 you'd need to earn £50,000 a year and have to demostrate your salary every month to back this up"No likey no need to hit thanks button!":pHowever its always nice to be thanked if you feel mine and other people's posts here offer great advice:D So hit the button if you likey:rotfl:0

The chances are very slim indeed, banks are having to be tighter with lending at the moment, and self certification has been withdrawn for mortgage lending for example.
If you are self employed you are going to need confirmation from an accountant or HRMC to confirm the amount you are getting paid monthly, so they can assess the affordability.
Regarding the credit rating, again this is down to the individual lender to decide based on heir personal lending criteria, which is going to very between financial institutions.
What is the purpose for the £25000 you require?Best Regards

thanks guys,
well my employment can be erratic as i've just become self employed, and can't show much as way of proof of income, and at the moment it isn't great. I need the money for a series of operations mainly.0 -
I would suggest that you may want to look at a credit union.
Credit unions have a common bond - normally geographical, so you you would have to meet that criteria. Take a clook at http://www.abcul.org/page/members.cfm to find the nearest one.
They may require that you bank with them for a particular period, some do, some don't, but they may lend you at least some of, if not all of the funds you require. I mean you could still look at the traditional lenders including your own bank or building society.Best Regards

a credit union won't do 25k tho
OP you say it is for operations - presumabley not essential as the NHS would provide these if they were? I am not sure in a new business with little income as yet you want to
a) have non essential surgery at cost and
b) take time off from the new business if you don't have to?Debt free 4th April 2007.
