Hello, I'm trying to follow a wheat free diet (whoops, did I really have a slice of hovis at the weekend ). I've looked up some wheat free things and they mention xanthe gum (please excuse my spelling), but i also read that Guar Gum does the same job for a 1/3rd of the price- sounds good to me!
Only Ican't find how much guar to use when the receipie says about xanthe gum. Can anyone help please?

Guar gum is often considered to be a good substitute for xanthan gum, however when substituting add an additional half of the required amount of xanthan to equal a comparable measure. As an example, if 2 teaspoons of xanthan gum is required, add 3 teaspoons of guar gum.
