Mortgage with a bad credit rating

I have recently recieved a letter from my mortgage company (J P Morgan Chase) saying that if I pay my mortgage by the end of August they will reduce the value by £17,000.

I obviously want to take this offer up however I do have a bad credit rating. My current mortgage was sold to me as a self cert mortgage. I believe that these are obsolite. I am worried that I will not be able to get a new mortgage to take up the offer.

current Morgage value 88,000

Any pointers will be most helpfull.

Regards JG

There are surrogate self cert options, a good broker will be able to help you.
