Home Learning

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could help.

Sorry if I posted on the wrong page.

I am thinking of doing a home learning course, a sage payroll one.

Could anyone recommend the best company?

Is Home Learning a good one?

Thanks very much
I am currently paying back my repossession shortfall about £13,000 to go!! but still smiling:j

The are numerous threads on this forum re Home Learning. The consensus being that it is probably a waste of money. From my point of view this is why.
Sage is a brand name and very successful accounting software company (in the past they have been stalked by Microsoft and may indeed have been purchased). Open the yellow pages for your locality. You will find hundreds of adverts for existing qualified accountants both self employed and firms. What would make you better/different than them?

I'd be inclined not to try and learn Sage by home learning, unless you are already an experienced bookkeeper with other software experience. It's quite a tricky piece of software. I just don't see how you can learn it effectively without a real live tutor there to demonstrate, answer questions and so on.

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.
