started ironing business

Hi i'm trying to up our income as my partner was made redundant in January, had tried a few other things but this does seem to be working, im doing other peoples ironing for a small fee of £6 an hour, so far in just over a week we have four customers and hopefully we will get some more,

Hmm, I wonder if you could put posters up in large employers' foyers. I'm thinking places like utility companies, insurance companies, BT, etc. Perhaps something along the lines of a sandwich delivery company but you turn up with your van in the company car park once or twice a week and staff bring their clothes to you for ironing. You give them a receipt and return their ironing a couple of days later. I bet all those IT bods would like to have their ironing done by someone because they work such long hours. Then again, it could be a terrible idea but no-one can accuse me of not having imagination

There is an ongoing thread on this board called something like starting an ironing business. If you search im sure you will find it and it may give you some tips
Also I do think 6 pounds an hour is very cheap, shame your not near me lol
