I don't know if it will have any impact on OP price but the licensing laws changed earlier this year to say that you cannot charge a customer for tap water. A customer is classed as someone who has been purchasing drinks within a recent time period, i.e that evening/day. So ask what water it is and ask for tap

    Our corkage was this

    Drinkers - £18.5
Reception - 2 glasses pimms/wine/beer depending on what people want
Half bottle of wine with meal
    Champagne for toast
    Still/Sparkling water for table

    Non/Light drinkers - £8.5
    Reception - soft drinks/juice
1 glass of wine with meal
    Champagne for toast
    Still/Sparkling water for table

I think that is okay, and that way we can allocate no. bottles of wines to tables depending on who is siting there and what/how much we think they will drink.

Seeing that mine isnt too far out from others makes me feel better though!!

Personally? I think it's expensive! I know we have a good deal but ours is £32p/h for wedding breakfast (3 course - however we removed desert for canapes as I decedantly have two cakes!:)), 1 arrival drink (think we're doing pimms) 2 glasses of house wine and 1 sparkling for toasts.
Haggle with them, tell them it's too much, even £15p/h is a lot more reasonable.:D Good luck.

    We're having:

£250 behind the bar for welcome drink of choice for 60 guests
4 jugs of juice per table at £1 per jug (so about £32)
1 glass of sparking wine per person (£4 a head so £240)

Our friends arn't wine drinkers, but to be honest arn't drinkers full stop. So we asked if we could get around this and the above compromise was agreed. :)

Looking at these prices I am more pleased than ever that we are putting a marquee up in the garden for our daughters wedding so that our guests will be able to drink as much wine, sparkly, real ale and cocktails as they wish !!
