Tues 18th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :T

Morning everyone:p
Well I've had my last meal, no solid food now in preparation for my op...arghhh:) Off to work just for the morning, might have a cuppa with a friend this afternoon and need to get packed. Did the girls bags yesterday, so one less job.

Hope you're all having a good week so far:beer:

Ok, list:
  • check banking
  • daily scratch - 20p woohoo
  • washing on quickwash and on line to dry
  • packed lunch for girls to school
  • NSD
  • finish packing girls bags completely
  • ironing
  • return top to Tesco if time
  • meal from plan for girls tonight - bacon, eggs, sausage etc
  • get dd2's birthday presents wrapped
  • Enjoy Holby tonight - but minus my dinner, boohoo!!
Ok, think that's my lot, have a lovely day:A

Morning all, oohhhhh Milly its getting closer!!! :j Hope you dont get too hungry today!!!

I got some good hospital news yesterday too, got a date for DD to have her tonsils out!!! :T 16 June! :T Its been a bit of a battle as the trust say that tonsillectomy is "elective" rather than "essential" ( !!!!!!!!!!!) so even though the consultant said they needed to come out, we had to battle with pen pushers to get funding!! Ridiculous!

    Anywayyy, today:

    - check online banking
    - packed lunches
    - tea from meal plan
    - having hair cut (cheap as hairdresser works from home)
    - keep an eye on ebay (still got lots listed)
    - shred some paperwork
    - sweep & hoover through

Have done really well on ebay, made £170 so far, £120 is going towards holiday & £50 is for girls room coz we are decorating over half term :T

Have a great day everyone xxxx

Yes to soup Kel;) And plain yogurt and jelly today...just tomorrow is stricter, clear liquids only, so not even a nice white coffee:(

Anyway, just wanted to tell you all that I did really well on that darn essay that I went on and on about - I got 73, my highest mark, very pleased (especially as most of the others have been getting 50s;)) - the slog was worth it:beer:

    Hi everyone

Good luck for the op Milly! And woohoo on that essay!

Josiebabie, enjoy Holby! You should tape it and watch it again and again (as long as a bottle of wine lasts!:)) cos you can!! :D

Big hugs to everyone else and everyone else who joins in with the small things party!

    Today I'm going to:
    • Enjoy some free tetley at work with milk from a glass bottle - it's the little luxuries! :p
    • Take some (not HM) soup to work with some bread and butter
    • Put the rest of the bread in the freezer before it goes off
    • Sort out my ebay sales and be happy that I've double checked - everyone's getting the right thing! :o
    • Check surveys
    • PAD to cc
    • Put any coins in the jar
    • Email PB cos my points still haven't reached my account
It's the final push - payday a week today. Not very happy with my spending performance this month and next month I have £120 for spends and got two weddings and a shopping trip planned (which will obviously now be window shopping/watching my friend buy loads!). Those ebay sales and surveys come in handy!

    Take care

    xx
