CCJs/COs fall off 6 years from the court date.

The creditor can ask that CCJ/COs are readded to your file if they have not been settled.

The SB date would be March 2010 (last use of your card/or payment/or acknowledgement)

If a CCJ was obtained over 6 years ago, they would have to go back to court and submit a case why they did not use the CCJ. If they have a valid reason it will be made enforceable again.

I don't know if payment of a CO requires a court date ? do you know ? if so, would that start another 6 year clock ?

I understand that a debt owner would have to go back to court to get another CCJ / reactivate the old one but they would presumably have to make contact first and then give you the chance to strike a deal. I mean, they couldn't just not bother telling you and go to court could they ?

As for the credit reference agencies, you say that a creditor can ask for a CCJ to be added to your file if not settled. I do not understand this. I thought they could only report actions in the 6 year period after obtaining the CCJ ? For sure if they went to court and got another CCJ or whatever they have to do, then I presume they would be able to have that recorded but are you saying they have another power, just to have say a 10 year sold unsatisfied CCJ listed on your file ?

    Thanks
