Conveyancing - do you want a solicitor or 'case handler'?

Should people go for a solicitor for an average £600 plus VAT fee, or will a 'case handler' be ok.
My clever neighbours use a solicitor every time, but you can save £50/£100 and get a secretary/case handler/unqualified.
Well £50/£100 is a lot, what bad things could happen?

Can't you use the Debate House Prices & The Economy' and 'Discussion Time' boards if you want to debate and discuss rather than actually ask for guidance and support on a specific problem? You reveal your usual bias when you use the word 'clever'.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

You have an agenda and your threads are not in the spirit of MSE at all in my view. I still don't think you are a real solicitor or I'd report you to abuse - your questions are leading and you would know better than that in your purported profession. Why not take a leaf out of Richard Webster's book? Every post reminds me of the wealth of experience and knowledge you get from many qualified solicitors. He doesn't feel the need to peddle his wares like a market trader.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

So report Fire Fox to abuse and let forum admin decide. Bullying is a serious allegation.
Given you posed a totally theoretical question and don't have a problem which needs resolved I think !!!!!! opinion about the best place for the thread was valid on thos occassion; bit then, I'm not a board guide.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -

I wonder why that is. Perhaps the entire forum is wrong except you?

Er, "come on chaps" what? In just this thread alone your snide remarks to engineer the type of reply you're fishing for, and use of the term "bully" when you don't get your way (actually doesn't that make you a bully yourself?) mark you out as a "mean poster" yourself and in a far more insidious way than one who simply doesn't mince their words in a reply. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0
