Can I take it I failed the assessment?

I applied for a job back at the beginning of March and after a while of not hearing anything, I assumed that I hadn't even got an interview.

Out of the blue though I received a letter asking me to attend an assessment and it also stated that if I was successful at this stage, then I would be asked ton an interview which would take place this week.

The thing is I haven't heard anything after having the assessment - either to say thanks but no thanks, or to invite me to an interview. I know the organisation concerned and I know from previous applications that they acknowledge your application even if you don't get an interview

So do I write this one off or still hope that they're being a bit slow and have delayed the interviews?

I'd get in touch with them and ask just in case a letter's gone awol somewhere along the line.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    Thanks for the advice.

I've fired off an email (coward at heart!) asking for feedback regarding the assessment so at least I'll know one way or the other.
