*International* Balance Transfers (from, then back to, UK cards)... possible?

Many thanks for reading.
I don't know whether anyone would know this, but is it actually possible to BALANCE TRANSFER a debt from a UK credit card (say, from my UK-based MBNA card) onto a non-UK credit card (say, onto my Australian partner's Sydney-based credit card) only to then try to re-BALANCE TRANSFER the same debt back onto my original, UK-based card? I just wondered whether this was logistically possible (even if fees would be incurred)?
Essentially, I have £20k of debt on my MBNA card and until I can clear the balance to zero, I cannot attract a good rate on this debt, so I have been told... currently, I am being charged 29% APR which equates to a minimum payment of £469.69 per month... this is crucifying me!
However, my partner has a £20k limit on her Aussie credit card and I wondered whether I could transfer my £20k debt to her card, then back to my own card at a much improved rate compared to what I am receiving now...?
Any advice would be gratefully received!
Kind regards

I'm not sure if you can do it (I'd probably imagine you couldn't) but even if you can, how do you know that MBNA won't drop your credit limit down to say £1k as soon as the debt is BT'd? This has happened to a lot of people after clearing a large debt off by balance transfer. And would leave you in a really difficult position with your partner.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Thanks, Tixy -- great advice and probably spared me from inadvertently leaving my partner in trouble down the line.
Much obliged.
