Free Road Atlas at Ford Dealers

Couldn't see this posted already - and haven't yet tried it (see update below) so don't know if it works - but apparently Ford Dealerships are giving away free road atlases if you take in an old one.
Full details here: http://www.ford.co.uk/CurrentPromo/AtlasExchange along with a list of participating dealers.
Edit 21st May: Been to a Gloucester Ford dealer today - got one no probs, and it's a decent Atlas, very useful. And they didn't really seem to want the old one I took in either. They weren't exactly geared up for this promo though - had to ask twice, but they were very helpful, and they seem to have a big box of them under the service managers desk...

Thanks Zanderman, I just popped round to get one. No problemo, just want name, address and what vehicle do you drive. No doubt for follow up promo. Your choice what details you give.A fool may give advice but the one who takes it is the bigger fool.0

Looks like an easy freebie to get but what's the atlas like, scale, detail etc ? Would it really be worth the RRP of £6.99 ?0

Proper full size atlas. 4 miles to 1 inch scale. Approx' 39 x 29 cms. 61 map pages plus index and plan of the M25. Ford service offers inside front cover. No nude on page 3. A darn good freeby.

I presume that you can trade in ANY atlas? Not just an old Ford one?"Our remedies oft in ourselves do lie

I work at a dealer and to be honest you prob dont even need to take an old atlas in most just want to get rid of them, Ford send each dealer a few of boxes! so be quick. Note that the offers in the atlas dont apply to all dealers but the atlas is good for a freebie, nice and clear.0

Thank you, looks a good offer, my atlas is 5 years old and very dog-eared so I'm on my way to the garage tomorrow0

I checked Ford's website for participating garages and then visited two, where they looked at me as if I were insane. They had no knowledge of this free exchange.0

Just been to Bridgwater Ford in Somerset. Man said the offer is only for Ford cars and you have to have a free visual health check! I've got a Renault....:(0

I got mine in Oxfordshire with no quibbles. Lots of vouchers inside too!0
