mortgage protection

hi
i`m sorry if ive posted this in the wrong section

my wife has just had an epileptic fit and we think she will have to give up her job as a nursey nurse therefore losing our income. We have a mortgage on our house but because of money issues we didn`t take out any mortgage protection so therefore we`re really worried about losing our house.I`ve asked a few people if they thought we would be able to take out a protection plan now in case my wife does lose her job but they don`t think we can.
I wondered if anybody could give me any advice on what i can do

thank you

You would have to disclose any "pre-existing" condition when you take out a policy and that condition won't be covered, unless you can find a provider who will accept the risk ....but the premiums would be very high.
