Existing Eon customer who pay by direct debit, and manage the account online can get a free energy meter and a few other bits n bobs.
New customers can get it too by switching. (though check its worth it for you first, also check cashback sites etc)

No mention whether it comes from the CERT scheme.
Last I heard they were supposed to be on request only, rather than unsolicited as happened just prior to the January the 1st deadline, so it shouldn't be necessary to switch suppliers to receive one afaik.
I would contact your current supplier first.0 -

I’ve had my Eon energy monitor for over a week now. It appears to be accurate as the total power used that it displays is exactly the same as that shown by my electricity meter. The data that it collects can be downloaded to a PC to show a detailed breakdown of power consumption which I have found to be extremely useful.0
