Monday 17th May - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :T
Gooooood morning people:j
Hope you all have a lovely weekend...nice quiet one here.
Looks like a beautiful day - hope it stays with us! Off to work this morning for me, then need to go see my college tutor, take library books back to the Uni (sadly not in the same place as tutor), start getting organised for my hospital visit - it's more getting the girls organised for their stay, I'm easy;)
Ok - list for today:
Have a great day.....
Happy birthday to Lottebear and Littlekel:bdaycake:

Morning Milly and all who follow
Not much to report today - Popeye has def. bought this new (to us) car and it is certainly a good buy (previous owner seems to have driven only to and from the shop for the last five years :rotfl: there's not a scratch on it and it feels like new) But it will eat into our savings and although the staff loan is cheap, it is DEBT  (good debt, I know) so I must get back on line pronto pronto
So today I have/will:
Done all the necessary laundry over the weekend and line dried so that the maid doesn't have to use the tumble drier, nor will be tempted to use excessive soap powder (I guess that isn't a saving many of you in the UK can make :rotfl:)
I've researched wool shops in Johannesburg and think I've found one not too far away. They even do CS sets with designs my ma in law cannot have seen so a good source of presents.
I've made banana muffins with the over-ripe bananas.
Will menu plan to use some of the stuff in the freezer, and not waste anything.
And will get to the vegetable shop where there are such bargains. (Bit bored with beetroot to be honest
)
Will carry on clicking......need a yawning icon here
And will start to look for MS for when I'm in the UK in June
Have a great day everyone :A0 -
