company van taxes

hi this is the first time ive ever used this forum (or any) and not sure if im even posting in the right place? but have a question to ask about the charges for a company van.
as it stands i dont know anything about the law etc on company van privvate use.
at the moment i pay £11 a week tax and then 40p a mile for private use. this includes my diesel. just wanted to find out if this was this was the correct rate etc...
any info would be really apreciated. many thanks:beer:
