Hi there
Just like to say what a great thread. I was initially looking for other information when I seen this thread. I am currently at uni studying nursing. I have to give a talk in sept on health promotion. I clicked on the transplant org to order items to give out to fellow students, whilst promoting health, even after death someones elses health may improve by way of organ donation. hopefully if I can raise awareness more of my fellow cohorts may sign up or pass information on.
good luck to everyone who raises awareness of organ donation. If taboos can be broken more lives can be saved0 -
The British Heart Foundation are the same, promotional leaflets, posters, downloads, childrens stories and other items are always available. Donations are welcomed too.

I'd like to think that each of us can get just one person (or more) to become a new registered donor, or donate their time or money to the promotion, or both then it'll be truly a priceless gift.0 -

Just a few more suggestions for the promotional "Be A Star"stickers, other than sticking them on envelopes and parcels, try placing them on phones, fridges, coffee machines, microwaves, computer monitors, keyboards, near light switches, toilet roll holders, mirrors, doors, doorbells and knockers. Basically anywhere someone has to physically look at to use.
I got the promo items and leaflets today and have already handed them out to family and friends, who in turn will share with their extended network and at work. I've also got a new donor already signed up and a possible second to come in time. Come Xmas the snowman stickers will be put to good use on presents, Xmas cards, letters, and way into the new year.
On a kind of sour note though, the carrier tore a hole in the padded envelope, ripped the sweet bag open through the hole and stole one. Even so, I guess the message got across, which turns a bad thing into a good one.0 -
I have sent for these as l think that the more we can do to spread the word the better.
I carried a card for about 15 years without knowing l had to register. If it had not been for the campaign on itv news a few months ago l probably still would have been unaware.
This is brill, well doneTamiya Widow0 -
Just got my items. Some really good stuff in the box. I'm looking forward now to my courses starting in the autumn so I can bring it to good use as well. :j0

Hello,
Got some these this afternoon by LYNX EXPRESS. Going to give them out at my local resturant/pub and school, etc.
But with the parcel a letter said they look forwarding to hear from me to join the donor List. Does this my ive joined or are they waiting to see if i do join?
Also do the NHS have my details now? (e.g are they going to send me letters , etc).the Money Saving Expert team do not moderate forums, so if you see something that shouldnt be here report it! :beer:0
